J-3 Cub Identification
I just got a J-3 Cub body without the wing. It has an OS 48 4cycle.
The number on the side is "N4734C". The fuse is 48/49inches long from tip of the rudder to front of the cowl.. That means the wing should be about80-81 inches. I'm trying to identify the manufacturer/supplier so I can get a wing.....preferably a "clipped" wing. Does anyone recognize the N number? Thanks in advance, Dan |
RE: J-3 Cub Identification
Yep, that's the "old" Goldberg Anniversary Edition of the Piper Cub. Goldberg is now part of Great Planes, and I don't think they have this model any more. Here is their web site where you might check. http://www.carlgoldbergproducts.com/...nes/index.html By the way I have been flying one of these, and it flys great with an OS 91 4 Stroke. Balanced just right with this engine.

This kit is still around and Tower list it. Great kit. I have built one but not flown it yet.

Thanks! That's it ! Tower has wiped it out. Looks like I need a repairable wing, wing or wing kit.
