superstar EP conversion to nitro...finished

this is my superstar EP that I converted to nitro because I wanted longer flights and more power and electric power systems are still a bit pricey for me. so I installed an O.S. 25 LA...I was told it would be a bit too much motor but it all worked out so far. I marked where the cg was that was already working for me during flight as an electric and then removed the battery, speed control and motor/prop combo and installed another futaba servo for the throttle, a 6 oz fuel tank, a 4 AA reciever pack and a new firewall out of plywood and still came out lighter than the electric version. ( I also added a steerable tail wheel but before the gas conversion) I kept the motor in the same downthrust/rightthrust angles and the prop centerline is exactly the same also.only difference is the prop is about 3/16 forward but I don't think that will be a problem. the cg stayed exactly the same also so it should fly very close to the way it did before the conversion but with lots more power and run time...sorry about pic quality I had to use my webcam...

WOW!!!

can you say POWERFUL??? this plane is airborn in 2 feet of runway lol...no joke...it flies at what I would call "normal" speed at only 1/3 throttle.give it full throttle and it climbs straight up...completely verticle...it's insane...ailerons are next for this baby...it weighs under 3lbs with fullsize servos. running 9X6 prop and a 6 oz fuel tank that lasts over an hour.
