H9 Taylorcraft wing struts question

I have a T-craft powered by a G23. It flies nice. I was wondering if the wing struts are structural or if it is okay to flight without them. They are a pain to transport and I keep droping the attachment little bolts in the grass.

They are not structural. The H9 T-craft wing was designed to stand on its own.
