Super Stick 60 HELP!

I am putting together the SS 60 from H9..The problem that I am having is the push rods for the elevator and the rudder are the wood type with the metal 2-56 rod connected to the servo and the to the control horn..the issue is the wood portion of the push rod is catching on some of the braces in the fuse..Do you guys have a better solution or do I go with what I have?

thanks

Just trim the end of the wood to a point

I have had one of these for 10 years and just folled the instructions. I didn't have any trouble with the ends hitting a bulkhead.

Do you have the wire too short

It's been 10 years since I assembled it. You have turned them around? I was trying to read in the manual but it doesn't give any lengths

You were supposed to use a full length link on the rear and a cut off piece from the aileron on the front of each rod

Thanks for the info W8ye...I ended up putting larger z bends where they exit the fuse in the back and all seems good...I don't like the wood rod setup but seems to work ok...Plus it don't seem like there is alot of other options since it is an ARF and I can't really get into the fuse...

Thanks

If you really don't like the wood rods then replace them with plastic outer, and metal inner like these.

It's really not that hard to do even on an ARF. The outer plastic only needs to be attached at both ends. I always use CA and make sure to roughen the plastic area where they are going to be glued with sandpaper.
