Anybody heard of what's coming out this year?I haven't heard much talk.Hope that this year will bring some different types of planes and not just the same ole thing.Chime in if you've heard what's coming!

RE: NEW ARF'S FOR 2009

AK- Models website has a few new ones this year - I ordered the New CMPro T-34 the other day, just waiting for it to arrive to check it out. Joe, this might be my ticket for the Scalin Over the Rock in May Best of Show:D Might even beat yours ( I doubt it, but then again it would be in the warbirds along with a couple more of mine!! )

The World Models has a new line called The Wing Maker. Nothing overly exciting, but the prices are excellent.

I'm going to get a Wingman 1 to review

Hey Minn,

What do you know about that Company ? I've never
heard of them. I have some E stuff that would fit the
Wingman2 and i'm curious.

Well, I know that the World Models has some great stuff. Not the quality that you would find in Great Planes or Hangar-9, but good stuff nonetheless. And their prices are much lower than GP or H-9.

So if they are adding a new line, I'm interested.

The only thing that concerns me is that it looks like they're covered in that covering with the pre-printed design and I'm not a big fan of that. Too soon to tell.

RE: NEW ARF'S FOR 2009

Seagull has some new ARF's that I'm not sure are going to be imported over here.

They have a 120 Size Decathlon, that I would like to see up close, plus if you go to their home page, I see alot of models that aren't being imported at this time, but seem to be available elsewhere. http://www.seagullmodels.com/ProductDetail.asp?id=66#

I started a thread earlier on their new 91 and 120 size Decathlon, but I didn't seem to scare up any new information.

Thanks Minn,

Yea, I hate the pre trimmed /decaled arfs too. I wish
arfs just had one color and let you add your own
trim and such. Then they all would not look the same
IMO.

Top Flite has a .60 P-47 ARF coming out (no pictures yet). I don't know if it will be a bubble or razorback version...but I'm hoping for the bubble version.

Hanger 9 has a very pretty 45" Electric PT-19 already on the Horizon site. With a little tweaking is could be made to look like a great scale model.

RE: NEW ARF'S FOR 2009

Heard a rumor that H9 will be reintroducing their Giant P47 ARF. Everythng will be similar to their reintroduction of the 150 size P51...ie bigger, better etc. If this happens I'll bet Top Flight comes out with a GS P47 ARF within 6 months...kinda like what happened with their GS P51 ARF....hope so!!!

Oh, I can't wait for the Toledo show, tax refund in hand! Still looking for a nice 120 size Decathlon. The RC Guys one, I'm afraid is a bit to big for a 120 Surpass, even though they list it.

I looked at that one, but I'm not very impressed. It's funny how they would market it towards people who want to "relive their youth" when most folks in that age bracket grew up with the Cox .049 engines and Castor oil. I'll have to wait until someone does a glow conversion before I consider.

I would be first inline to buy one if GP did. I have a MT62 looking for a home right now and that would be the perfect plane for it.

I wish TopFlight would do there gold edition P40 or Hanger 9 a giant P40 , must be the retracts that the prevent the attempt .

I don't quite understand the resurgence of Control line...we called it U-control in Minnesota. Yea I grew up spinning in circles with all the Cox u-controls. I had 2 PT-19s, a Black Stuka, a Miss America P-51, Foam wing Chipmunk and ME-109 etc... As soon as I could afford a Radio I left them in the dust...well trash actually. Control line is one part of my youth I don't really want to relive.

With the amount they're selling for now on EBay, I bet you wish you still had 'em [:o].

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...LXWHS4&P=7

that looks really good.one of our members has the P51 arf 1/7scale .retracts look okay.but havent seen it fly just yet.I figure the money they spend to design and build goes toward everything except retracts .
