CG for a Cedar Hobbies Lift Meister
A friend bought a Cedar Hobbies Lift Meister (without the engine) at an RC auction. Looks like a "fun" plane.
He would like to know exactly where the CG should be. Any help would with the CG location be greatly appreciated. Plus engine suggestions would be also be helpful. thanks, Bill |

Anywhere from 1/4 chord back from the l/e to 1/3 back, start forward, then move back until you are happy.

RE: CG for a Cedar Hobbies Lift Meister
I am running a Saito 150 on mine and it lifts off in 10 feet. it floats forever on landing and I suspect it needs to be heavier to get it down consistantly on our 400 ft long field. The instructions reccomend a 120 2stroke to equivalent gas.
instructions list the cg as on the main spar. I balanced mine exactly like that and it flies and handles great. I like to call it a big marshmallow as it just floats around and is lots of fun to mess around with. I plan to install a gas motor to learn how they work and I also have a large candy drop bay installed for fun fly events. Daryll |

Thanks guys for all the information.
He is a very good flyer but wants to "fly by the book" and is usually over prepared. He was also talking about a Saito 150 so I'll share your experience with him. I am sure he will like this plane. :D Regards! |
I just got a Sachs 3,.2 gas engine with CDI and I have a Lift Master. Will the Sachs be too much engine if flown with the throttle? What is max engine that has been used? Thank you very much.
