Biplane Recomendation
Well after 6 years my Kyosho Stearman needs to be replaced. I figure I will retire it for now and rebuild it in the future. So for now I am looking for a .40 sized sport scale type biplane ARF. I love the the Stearman because you could fly it scale and then have a lot of fun at the same time. Anyone have any recommendation for something similar? I am not finding much in this area.

Nitro has this one for $130 bucks. 40-50 size at 44" WS. I like my Goldberg Ultimate, but probably not what your looking for.

I know you said a .40 size but I just purchased a great planes staggerwing and it is a dream to fly!!!!!!! Cox had a biplane .40 size , I had one until my receiver went out and it went full speed into the ground.

Sig makes the Sundancer in a 50 size http://www.sigmfg.com/cgi-bin/dpsmar...FV4.html?E+Sig
I lost the my Kyosho Stearman to a radio problem and find this plane is an honorable replacement, though not a true scale plane. I have a YS 63s with a 13x4 prop in mine, but I believe any 70 four stroke would make in fun to fly. It has a pull-pull rudder and 4 ailerons (2 servos) and plenty of room to work. I found the construction excellent and the plane assembles easily. |
