Flyzone Cessna 182 RTF
 

I have had my eye on this plane all week. I was just wondering If anyone here has one or flown one. Are the lights bright enough to fly at night or atleast when it's almost dark? Any option to turn them off/on? Is it truly easy to fly? I have some 4 channel trainer experience. 10-15 hours 4-5 years ago.

i have one, but, i havent flown it yet. the lights are bright, but not bright enough to fly at night. the only way to turn them off is to unplug the batt. there is no on/ff switch.

i took her out for her maiden flight today. Let me add that there was a little gust of wind out here (4-7mph).

It was a successful...failure! take off was smooth, flying around was easy, maneuvering the plane was easy minus the wind. i had alot of fun flying this Cessna. i was nervous as heck too! (a girls softball team was practicing at the baseball field) even though the wind slammed my Cessna into the ground, all that was damaged was the prop, of course, the motor shaft broke clean off. The cowl was damaged a little bit (the only area that i DIDNT tape up). The nose landing gear strut was bent and the nose wheel cover was scratched. other than that, everything else is in good condition.

I was VERY impressed with the plane even though i crashed. i liked how the plane looked in the air and its a good plane. :)

Although i do want to upgrade the motor/esc. that is next

finally fixed my cessna and is ready for another flight.

i used gorilla glue to fix the front part of the cowl and held it in place with packing tape...the spinner and prop and the motor was provided by my friend. thanks Dan!

I got a little creative and cut out the "fake" air intake, or whatever it is, and replaced it with a mesh screen. I know thats not scale, but, its unique. i like it.

I also had to bend back the nose wheel strut. It was bent severely to one side so i bent it back.

i cut a little hole in the rear window so air can pass through to cool down the electronics. dont ask me why i cut it like that...i was tired and i still had to fix my friends cessna.

here is a closer picture of the cut out i did with the mesh screen. the packing tape saved me alot of money because when i crashed it nose first, the cowl didnt break (except the area i DIDNT tape up) everything else was good!

I thought i'd throw this in the mix, looks like you are really in a REAL cessna doesnt it?? well..minus the wires.. :p lol
