No idea? When I saw her up in the top of the tree she looked to be in pretty damn good shape. However it was a "long way" down and I'm to understand it suffered quite a few blows.

My offer was to provide parts from the model to others whom might need it. Ill pick her up this week and post photos after I strip the gear. Honestly I don't think he wants to repair this one.

FWIW it was a nice flyer with a OS 32sx!

Hey guys....Im looking for parts for the late release version of the "chrome" version of the Mustang. These differed completely from the early versions. The Dago Red with the flames or The Voodoo would work too. Union Models has a posted picture of the version I need just a few post above this one. In particular I am looking for a cowl. Ill buy a whole kit if I have too. Can anybody help?
Thanks guys
Paul

I flew my Dallas Doll twice last month after a long lay off. It was assembled and flown twice in 1987!
It was given to me with an old Airtronics system and an Enya 90 4S in '08. Old school all the way. I replaced the radio and engine with an OS 61 FSR with a 7M carb and an Airtronics 2.4 receiver on my SD10 and found out why these models are still talked about and sought after.
It looks great (though the scheme is darn near invisible in flight) with the gear up, is fast and solid, easy to land (fast approach) and when I install a retractable tailwheel it'll be just right.
I found out those strip ailerons only need to move about half of what I started with (now about a 1/16th!) and after some travel volume and expo work it flew pretty nicely. The song of that old Pattern engine on an old EZ model coming out of a big ole' loop is why I like this model, it brings back memories.
I'm painting the big yellow spinner up with the black stripes the real one had, as well as the rudder and wing and tail tips yellow so I can see the thing a little better. Now that I'm getting comfortable with it I'll be doing a lot of vertical maneuvers to keep in in close!

Pics later, sorry I'm on an airplane and don't have any downloaded.

Chris...

Hi Paul,

I bought a new cowl for my chrome finished P51 direct from OK Model. I accidently dropped thinners onto the cowling, which marked the plastic. They sent a replacement cowl within the same week of me contacting them, It cost around £20 posted.

Although the EZ line of ARTF have finished, I'm sure they may well have some spares. Worth emailing them to ask.

Mike.

Is that a tractor <prop in the nose?> jet? If so thats pretty @#$% cool!

Also, does anyone know if the "new" OK Models is affiliated in any way with the old OK models?

Was looking through on of my E/Z kits and came across a brochure. They made quite a bit of stuff I was never aware of.

I have a "broken" EZ Cherokee .25 and the thing was fast as he!! with an O.S. .32 in it. Had a few others years ago but sold them. One of them was the Extra 230 and it was also a fast, aerobatic plane. Had a couple hundred flights on it when I sold it. The others were the Cessna and the yellow Reno racer. Seeing all these pictures brings back alot of good memories. Been looking for these ever since and in my opinion they were the best arfs around at the time.. I always wanted the Christen Eagle but never found any at the LHS's. No such thing as the internet back then either.
Thanks for posting all those pics! Made me happy...:D

How ironic! I went to my LHS today for some fuel and stuff and guess what was hanging there for sale? An EZ Sportsman .25 with engine and a JR Radio for $200.00. It was tempting and if it had been anything else like a Cessna or Extra I would have bought it. Just wanted to share that...

You'll find NIB kit every once in a while on ebay and in the RCU classifieds,,, A couple there right now,,,
That Sportsman line was the least popular of them all, I'd have passed on it too

I recently sold a Blue Laser 200 that I picked up 7-8 years ago

p.s.
I had built a Blue Reno Racer and the 30 size Mustang in addition to the two 230s

I finally found a Commander 40. Paid way too much. Shipping cost was off the chart. Received with broken horizontal stab. I was able to fix the stab and just installed radio gear and ran the engine. I can't wait to see if it flies like I remember.
