Hanger 9 Taylorcraft ???

Any follow ups on the H9 Taylorcraft? All the threads have gone away.....

Has anyone flown it yet?
How does it fly?
What motors are flying them?
etc???

Thanks

I think if you'll do a search on "taylorcraft" you will see they are all still here.

Do a search, as mentioned above.
I purchased a kit, still untouched, will start on it probably tomorrow.
Today at the field there was a gentleman with one, had a G-23 on the nose, excellent engine choice for this airplane, if you want to go gas (you'll probably see some threads were guys say this airplane is underpowered with this engine, wrong!, it's got more than enough power, plenty on reserve), this is not a 3-D type of aerobatic airplane.
Some say the gear is weak, not so, this one didn't have the gear bracing, and it was stiff enough.
Beautiful take offs and super slow landings, will do manuevers very smoothly and gracefully, seems it likes to be landed on the mains first as opposed to tail low on touch down, if you're not at the exact speed, it will bounce up.
Very predictable at slow speed (trainer like almost), not tip stall.
Does aerobatics in a scale like fashion, specially for a high wing.
After a few flights on landing the pull pull system gave way, seems the 2-56 threads were not enough to survive the vibration from the gasoline engine, although rudder was lost right at touchdown, a cartwheel ensued with almost no damage, mostly a brused ego.
This airplane will do well with a ST 2000-3000, Zenoah 23-26, 4 stroker 1.2 -1.8. I'll be using a Saito 1.50 on mine, that should be a perfect engine for it.
I made a very thorough search before I got mine (right here!), and it is a good, fun airplane to have for the money, and looks great too!

I have an OS 160 FX in mine and love it. Not scale power (maybee for a T-38!) fun to fly!!
