I Wish I was under 20! I sound like a Rice Krispy when I roll out of the sack in the AM. I AM an antique!

Why are you conducting the survey in 3 or 4 forums? The more surveys you have, the less accurate your results are going to be simply because that allows readers to submit to the poll more than once.

Over 20, like miles over twenty.

I am just grateful that wrinkles don't hurt.... :p

you seem to be obsessed with this age thing...

I don't see what difference it could possibly make!!!!

I have friends that are seniors at our field that have a great wealth of information and are up on all the latest planes/equipment they fly wild 3d and are very willing to take risks with there planes.
There are also seniors there that live in the past and are flying planes with 20 year old technology....they do very little or no reading on new technologies and are not interested in discussing anything new. they fly the same way they did 20 years ago and haven't a clue how to fly 3d nor do they have any ambition to try.

there are also much younger guys at our field that seem to be very knowledgeable with only a few years experience, they fly as if they have been flying 3d for 10 years ...but...on the other hand ....there are young people flying like they were 80 years old and seem to have learned almost nothing, even though they have been in the hobby for several years!!!

I am trying to remember when I was 13, if age was that big a concern.....it probably was!! Relax ...enjoy... In a few more years it won't make a difference to you at all ;)

outssider,

You seem to be obsessed with 3D!!

Since when has that segment, which is still in it's infancy, been a
indicator of talent? Anyone can fly pushing the envelope at the verge of disaster every moment, in fact all of us did when we were first learning; most of us also outgrew that stage...

Me? 40 and can fly free-flight to monster scale. It's all good...

I'm 17, been flying for 2 years and was racing gas cars for 2 years before flying. One thing I learned from cars is how to make an engine run. I have never had an issue with any engine that I couldn't solve. Sometimes I get the "kid" treatment from older guys who think they know everything. Like the guys who say P factor turns the plane to the right...

I do enjoy 3d....but that wasn't the point of my post !

the point was....you can tell very little in this hobby by one's age alone! it doesn't seem relevant to me.

kind of like asking our favorite color or what car we drive....I don't get the connection to the hobby is all.

That OS four stroke was a little underpowered, but it will do a nice
waterfall!!

I like htat picture. To clear up the connection between age and hobby, i see far more retired guys than i do kids my age, so i wanted to get a percentage.
