Telemaster 70 Arf
Long ago I purchased a Telemaster 70 ARF from Hobby Lobby. It served me well until I lost control of it in a mature corn field. The only damage was to the wing. Hobby Lobby does not support that ancient model. I would like very much to locate one if one still exists. If I cannot find one specifically for the TM 70 then I would like to find one that approximates it. It is 70" wingspan and 10"chord. If you have one that might work get in touch with me. Thanks

You may want to check out the Sig- Kadet Senior wing, should be close.

Telemaster 70 ARF
Thanks, Lynn S for your information. In checking with our local model shop they said that the Sig-Kadet Senior wing had a chord about 14". My TM 70 is only 10" with wingspan of 70". The wingspan could vary a little, but the chord would have to be right on.
Thanks again, and ain't this bulletin board the greatest ! ! ! |

I built a Kadet Senior once, but that was over 10yrs ago. I didn't think it was that wide.
How about the Hobbico trainer planes, 40-60 size?? one of those may work. I know the trainer 60 is a large plane. It wouldn't be that hard to make a wing. Just find the airfoil shape that you want and adjust the size to 10 inches on a copy machine. You can cut out the ribs from that pattern...very easy to make. I have enlarged the wing of the Littlest Stick before. The plans can be downloaded and printed out on a printer. Then enlarge the airfoil on a copy machine. I would add two more ribs to each wing. Kinkos can enlarge the whole wing plan for you. Just an idea. - Lynn |
Telemaster 70 Arf
Gracias otro vez, Lynn S
I appreciate your input. The guy at the shop said he would keep looking for something that would work. The old damaged wing isn't totally outside of being repaired, and I may wind up doing that, it is that I am out of practice doing the tedious work of putting it all together. At 77 I don't do tedious work like I use to. Besides, I have a Sig Fazer and a Waco Biplane both in good working order with a new 71" J3 Cub ARF due to arrive this week, so I have plenty that I can play with. I haven't flown for over eight years so I am going to have to knock off a thick layer of rust and wanted to do it with the Telemaster just so I wouldn't lose so much if and when I go nose down. I will probably have some of the local club guys get on the box with me for a few trial runs with the Cub and then when I feel confident I will put the other two in the air. Great flying, Lynn S |
