which plane is better
1 Attachment(s)
I'm intetersted in getting the SkyFly 2 by Hobbico because i don't want to spend a lot of money, want something easy to fly (I have flown a Cessna 182 before), and something durable and that can handle winds. My local hobby store does not carry this but they have an Aerobird 3 by Hobby Zone.
Both of these planes are very similar... and I don't know which to get. Has anybody flown these planes and can offer some advice? Even other plane suggestions are welcome. Thanks! |
RE: which plane is better
Funny enough, some one else asked this very question a few days ago the responses were very interesting.
I suggested that the person go with a Hobbico ventura instead, someone else suggested a subercub here ( http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=HBZ7100 ) I wouldn't ever recommend the skyfly 2 EVER i have one and i much preferred a previous model called the red hawk. The skyfly, red hawk and i read the aerobird as well are all somewhat of poor quality and getting a good one out of the box is always a hit and miss event. I have a ventura (not the mini don't get that get the regular ventura $109 towerhobbies.com ) I've flown the crap out of it, never once crashed it and still till this day love the thing! It's a pretty decent plane and you can upgrade it later to brush-less if you like with or without lipos. It does 70 meter high loops barrel rolls (some what, if you know how) and stall turns very nicely I've flown that in heavy winds not too much of a problem at all, I've flown it high up and just killed the motor and stayed up for quite a while just on wind power I love the plane nuff said! Hope that helps. |
