RE: A-10 thunderbolt /Gaunli

Ive been biulding planes sence age 13 and all of the planes Ive worked on or scratch biult flew with ease. I understand this model wont run 100mph but it should at least leave the ground. All I got out of this deal was a funny looking rc car that pops wheelies.

Seemingly you are here to vent only and could care less what advice is given. You have posts in at least 2 other threads WITH NOTHING to add except you feel slighted over something as simple as a $100 plane. To be more specific.... a pair of brushed motors. My advice may be a little harsh but seriously......... just cut your losses and walk away from this particular plane.

I realize you claimed to have broken in the brushed motors but in none of your other posts (all negative) have you ever mentioned that until your latest one. And only after it was mentioned a couple of times by other people trying to help you. What method did you use? I personally disagree with the method stated in this thread but the advice is still sound. It does have advantages tho......... cycling the battery while seating the brushes. I have a charger that will do multiple charge/discharge cycles so have always used that method. My brushed motors have all been broke in using a D cell battery directly to the motor leads and run for about 30 minutes.

As far as I am concerned any advice given to you is wasted, you only want what you want and no one else is ever going to convince you that dealing with issues is a part of RC. Just wondering how far past your 13th birthday you are. We have teenagers in my home also and your attitude is very familiar. Interesting.............................

I've done all of what your saying with cycling the batt and braking the brushes in. I'm mad that after paying 100$!! for an rtf it never even hinted leaving the ground and after emailing nitro and posting here all I get out of nitro is excuses. rtf means rtf. (note this is the second plane I've gotten from them that was far from flying.

On your "removing the fan unit" note on your post - split the foam casing down the seam but only pierce the foam about "1/16 of an inch". Pull apart with a light hand, and it should split the case with ease. Remove the motor and fan unit as one then take out the screw in the nose of the fan. after this the fan is only at about "1/2 thousands press fit" slide a small flat head screw driver from the back of the unit and insert under the cone on the fan. while pulling the fan with 2 figures and pushing the motor mount casing with one you can remove the fan without breaking it.....Took about 5 min. total to do both.

I have no insults for you sir because your just an average molder trying to help and that's what modelers should do for each other. On my views of nitro planes well read my signature and that sums it up.
