GP Little Toni and a O.S..75AX
 

Hey folks,
I'm putting a O.S. 75AX in a GP Little Toni.
After figuring out the Slimline Q-Series mufller WILL NOT fit inside the cowl, I need some better ideas.
Some pictures of the cowls on the Little Toni's with a similar setup, such as the 60FX or 90FX would be appreiated.
The 75AX fits nicely in the cowl, only need one small hole for the highspeed mixture screw.
Any suggestions and some pictures would be appreciated

Perhaps a Bisson Pitts style muffler; you can cut the stacks to size. Whatever you choose that LITTLE TONY ought to go like a scalded cat [X(] with the .75AX on it's nose. Let us know how you do.

Have you considered trying to make the stock muffler fit. I did just that with my Tower .75 powered WM midget Mustang. I am only spining a smigin under 12,000 with the 12-7 on the engine stand, so it shouldn't be to fast.:D I hope to have it in the air in the next couple weeks.;)

Yes I have considered the Bison Pitts muffler. It is not much smaller than the Slimline muffler and would require an ulgy hack job to the cowl also.

Yes, I am considering using the stock muffler with an extension between the engine and muffler.
O.S. Engines has two extension available, 15mm and 35mm, either one would keep me from having to cut away so much of the cowl
and I wouldnt have to notch out the fuselage any.
But, that big ole muffler hanging in the wind has got to slow it down from the drag it will create.
Hoping to get around that, but dont think I'm gonna.

Hey Folks,
Finally figured it out.
I put the O.S. 75AX with a Slimline Q-Series Muffler in there, because I had already spent the money for the muffler.
Turned out pretty good I think, although the view from the front is kinda ugly.
I did have to split the scoop on the bottom to get the muffler in the cowl and then glue a piece of wood in there to hold it together. And I had to drill 2 holes in the top to get to the muffler screws, for the muffler does go on and off with the cowl.
It's not perfect I know but let me know what yall think.
And dang it's FAST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

really you should use either the stock supplied muffler with baffell removed or run a better tuned type pipe on this rig.

I know this is not a Little Tony, but making a stock muffler fit can be done and is well worth the effort when it comes to performance.:D

the 75ax is a heck of a engine, but a scalded cat it will not be. around 90 w/ that setup.

Hey Folks,
I got to fly her 3 times last Sunday.
So far, it is the fastest plane in my hanger by far, including the Sundowner 50 with an O.S. 55AX in her(1/2 the weight of the Toni).
Both of these planes have new motors in them and are still breaking in as far as I'm concerned.
I haven't either leaned them out or changed the props for speed.
I'm running a 14x6 on the Little Tony as for now.
Besides that the speed is a bonus for both planes, I'm looking to have some nice sport planes with plenty of vertical pull.
I like them huge loops :D
Maybe in the future we will turn the hounds loose and see what they'll both can do. Change props , muffler, rocket fuel, etc. :D
As for now I'm satisfied with the power setup in both planes
How does that cowl look>???

Hi, I am buying a GP Little Tony, I would like to know your comments on it, has the fiber fuselage is strong? need some reinforcements?
Also, I want to install an OS 75AX, as I have read, it takes very fast.
