HI GUYS IM TRYING TO SET MY AILERONS UP.EACH AILERON HAS IT OWN SERVO AND IM USING A DX7 TRANNY I HAVE READ THE SET UP PAGE IN THE MANUAL WHICH SAYS YOU HAVE TO USE THR FLAPERON MODE. I HAVE DONE THIS BUT I DO NOT GET FULL TRAVEL EACH DIRECTION.WHEN I LOOK AT THE SERVO MONITER THE SERVOS ARE NOT IN THE MIDDLE CAN ANY ONE HELP THANKS

RE: AILERON SET UP
Why not just use a "Y" cord?

RE: AILERON SET UP
When you use the flaperon function, you WILL NOT see full aileron travel.
That extra travel is reserved for differential ailerons and the flaperon function itself. |
RE: AILERON SET UP
YOU NEED WHAT IS CALLED A SERVO SYNCHRONIZER. FUTABA HAS ONE FOR FUTABA SERVOS, JR HAS ONE FOR THEIR SERVOS AS WELL.HITEC SERVOS CAN INTERNALLY BE SYNCHRONIZED WITH A SEPARATE PROGRAMMER.BUT WAIT FIRST OF ALL ARE YOU USING DIGITAL SERVOS IN YOUR DUAL 2 SERVOS IN EACH WING PANEL? WHAT PLANE IS IT?

DISREGARD LAST MESSAGE I REREAD YOUR POST.THAT IS DONE INTERNALLY IN THE RADIO.I DON'T KNOW YOUR RADIO.ASK YOUR HOBBY SHOP,CLUB MEMBERS,OR SET IT UP ON THE BENCH WITH 2 SERVOS AND KEEP TRYING IT FOLLOWING THE MANUAL.YOU'LL GET IT.ITS A LITTLE EASIER WHEN YOU HAVE THE SERVOS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU.

RE: AILERON SET UP
G'day Mate,
If you have a lot of subtrim, on either of the servos, they will be out of centre, on the monitor. Get the servos centred mechanically, with NO subtrim, so that each aileron pushrod is as close to 90 degrees as possible to the servo arm, then use subtrim to adjust. Keep the amount of subtrim to a minimum, & you will have more throw. BUT be aware, if you set up your servos, & use some subtrim, make sure they are moving in the correct direction, because if you reverse them the subtrim will have moved the centre, the wrong way. |
