E-Flite TCraft
 

Has anyone taken this T-Craft and gone gas insted of elect? I was cleaning my shop- - you find things that way and came across a box of new 30 four strokes. Seems like the T-Craft would be a likely subject! Now that the price dropped on them from Horizon I would like to give it a try. Miss the good ole days fuel and fly!!

I think a .30 engine will be way too large for that plane, even if its a 4-stroke. Something around .12-.15 would be a much better match for scale like flying, I think. It is listed as 29-31oz on electric and a glow version would be slightly lighter if done carefully.

I've been tempted to put a PAW 09RC in one, should be a great match! :D

Amazing what one finds when ya get to the bottom layers of the workbench! In a corner of the bottom shelf lived an OS 20 four stroke that will now have a home in the Tcraft. Just rough measurements it will fit inside the cowl on its side. Will hope to post a build if I dont just "pound" this bird out! The screaming of a outrunner just wont do this plane justice. Needs the gentle chug of a four stroke in the evening skies!!

Suggest you beef up the landing gear and use larger wheels. I feel this is a weak point of the plane, especially if you plan on flying off grass. Good luck with a four stroke engine in the front end.

shouldnt be too hard. I am taking off the motor box and cutting a new solid firewall. Then with libral amounts of epoxy gluing it on the front end. There is room inside to mount a 6oz tank. Total weight is in the ballpark with the motor and battry combo. Decided to go with the 30 fourstroke to haul a set of floats. Will post pictures as I get going!
