GP Giles 202 requires trim when going to full throttle, why?
When flying at low speeds I must add about 5 clicks of up elevator. When I go to full throttle I must take those 5 clicks back out or it will climb at about a 15 degree angle. I read alot about the "up thrust" issue on this plane so I put two small washers behind the engine mount to lower the upthrust. Could this cause the trim change? My center of gravity is at the nose heavy side of the recommended range. It doesn't seem to matter if the tank is full or almost empty either. Any ideas?

Mine did the same thing as you described. Roll it inverted and watch it dive for the earth. I had to increase my up thrust. I used a incidence meter and checked stab and wing, both at zero and then checked thrust. I found it at neg .75 degrees. I Set it at 1.5 pos and problem solved. Hope this helps..........Dave
