Routine Maintenance
I've been flying my GP 40 Stick for 2 seasons now. I notice that at the top of my loops and Cuban 8's. That the plane would roll slightly at the begginning of the down line. I was giving the Stick a good cleaning (glow snot) and found the outer right Aileron hinge (ca) was broke in to. I'm pretty sure this was the culprit to the sudden change in flight characteristics. So it does pay to do maintenance regulary, JMO. Bob |
RE: Routine Maintenance
If it took you 2 seasons to notice the hinge problem, I think you are not observant enough. I give all my planes a thorough going over every week and
a preflight check every flight. MR G |

MR G Mr G No, not 2 seasons, just one Saturday and I knew something had changed. I was flying on high rates and trying new things. Bob |

maintenance ! You can pay now or pay later. It is usually less painful, to pay a little attention at least every trip to the field. Safer too.

RE: Routine Maintenance
Over a season (or over winter, too) your fuel tank stopper/lines, etc. can become soft or deformed and even loosen up. So you might just pull the fuel system and reassemble with new parts as necessary.
