Escapade wing fix
So after reading all the post's on the wing problem with the G.P Escapde what would be the best fix? Lots of glue?

RE: Escapade wing fix
What wing problem are you referring to? My wife has a stock built Escapade and has been flying it for months without any problems.

RE: Escapade wing fix
I was reading a lot of post's about the tab's on the leading part of the wing getting broken off. Some members have reinforced it with tiger hair and epoxy.

RE: Escapade wing fix
I remember there was some discussion about that now. Certainly if that worries you it is easy to reinforce. Like I said my wife has been flying hers for some time without problems. Just don't decided to do a whole bunch of modifications that add weight to the plane. Built as designed it is a great plane. Get it heavy and well it isn't.

RE: Escapade wing fix
Just epoxy the wind halves together and you should be good to go.
FWIW, I have a 6 lb. 3 oz. Escapade with a Saito 72 and a 5 cell 6V 25000 Mah battery andf it flies great. Don't sweat the small stuff, just make sure it's balanced and powered properly for the weight. |
RE: Escapade wing fix
Thanks all. Also I have been using Real Flight Basic in preperation for flying the Escapade. Most of my actual flying has been with a ParkZone J-3 Cub and I've just started using the ParkZone T-28 for more aileron real life training. Hope this plane works out for me and my new found skills or lack of. LOL

RE: Escapade wing fix
You will really like the Escapade. a .46 engine is plenty of power.
