A guy in my club has one with a Brison 3.2 on it. I dont think you need that much power though.... It's not fast, it just has ALOT of vertical. Just check the way the canopy attaches. His flys off alot even at slow speed. Does that come with the metal control horns or do you have to get them seperatly? If it comes with it, you might want to replace them. He has had a few break before.

if you go to rcairport and do a search for this plane you'll find a partial review. from what i've read and looked around the planes great, the engines i hear people put in them, moki 1.8, FPE 2.4, BME 44, os 1.6, Saito 180, those were the real popular engine the people put in them.

Nice quality ARF, assembly is relatively trouble free. They fly like on a rail, very aerobatic and land like a trainer. Great at smooth, precision aerobatics with most 1.6 to 1.8 glow engines. Unlimited performance with 2.4 gas but the weight gets into the 14-15 pound range which is about max for good flying characteristics.

Can't go wrong with this one. I fly mine with a 2.4 FPE and it flies very light. I haven't weighed mine, but I doubt that it approaches 15 pounds. I'd say more like 12 to 13 max. It's a blast. Very smooth and very neutral. I didn't even have to trim when I first started flying it. Vertical up-lines and down-lines were both dead on perfect. Knife edge is a breeze due to almost zero coupling. It's a great plane for IMAC sequences too


I have one with a Saito 180. Needed no additional weight to balance per the manual's suggested starting point. I also have a Sig Cap 232EX. The Extra is by far, the smoother handling of the two. It flies very well (much like the GP Extra 40 or 60 kits) good low and high speed performance.

Assembling is relatively simple - installing the hinges properly takes the most time. The photograph shows my completed model - as you will see the kit decals can even be modified to show a Canadian registration.
