RE: SAITO FA-72 help?
A 14X4W APC wide blade prop will give you the most torque. It wont be fast, but it will get you off the water nice.

RE: SAITO FA-72 help?
APC 13x6 is kind of the benchmark prop on a 72. It will give you plenty of power on 15% fuel.

RE: SAITO FA-72 help?
I run mine with a 12x6 on a Funtana X50 and have had it on an Escapade with the same prop and it's worked out well.

RE: SAITO FA-72 help?
A 13X6 apc will turn well over 10K on your engine, I prefer the 13X7. |
RE: SAITO FA-72 help?
I'd go with the 13x6 on the .72

RE: SAITO FA-72 help?
The 13" is just smaller than scale, it just looked funny to me having been around full scale cubs. We'll see how the test flight goes and I'll post pics.

RE: SAITO FA-72 help?
I'd agree that a 14x6 would 'look better' but you've got to go with what the engine will handle. Let us know. That 14x4 suggestion may be the ticket for you. I've got an old GP Cub on slightly oversize floats and she flys well on an OS .91FS using a 14x6 but I'm up at 5500 feet and needed the power.
Best of luck. |
RE: SAITO FA-72 help?
13 x 6 is the base prop for a 72 in my opinion.
