woops...
Hey all,
So I wasn't paying attention and I mounted my switch/charge jack on the muffler side of the plane, what are the chances I could get away with that? It'll be noticeable if I patch over that area, but I may have to. |
RE: woops...
I'd move it and live with being able to see the patch.

RE: woops...
Leave it alone and go fly! I did the same thing on one of my first builds. I flew the plane for years with no problems untill I lost it to a false charged battery. I also have an Uproar with a side mounted engine that has the switch on the bottom of the fuze. The aircraft is a least eight years old with no problems.

Is this one of Your first planes? If You have been at it for a while, Your probably likeMe and have a box smal couvering pieces. cover it up and move on.

RE: woops...
Definately change it ! Oil will get into the switch Jw |
RE: woops...
yeah I've got some covering laying around and the ARF came with a couple of strips of white covering,
|
RE: woops...
What about rotating the engine instead?
|
RE: woops...
Move the switch, it has to be easier than rotating the engine. Patch the hole and be done with it. I have seen numerous switch failure when the switch had oil enter it, and it will.
