woops...

Hey all,

So I wasn't paying attention and I mounted my switch/charge jack on the muffler side of the plane, what are the chances I could get away with that? It'll be noticeable if I patch over that area, but I may have to.

I'd move it and live with being able to see the patch.

Leave it alone and go fly! I did the same thing on one of my first builds. I flew the plane for years with no problems untill I lost it to a false charged battery. I also have an Uproar with a side mounted engine that has the switch on the bottom of the fuze. The aircraft is a least eight years old with no problems.

What about rotating the engine instead?

Move the switch, it has to be easier than rotating the engine. Patch the hole and be done with it. I have seen numerous switch failure when the switch had oil enter it, and it will.
