Vmar planes
I have been looking for recent posts on Vmar planes and there is very little to be found. In particular the Vmar Su 27 i really like how this plane looks and the last post are a couple of years old, Is there anyone out there still flying this plane?

RE: Vmar planes
I don't know what the quality of Vmar is like now, but in the past they were very poor (4-5 years ago). The covering was like contact paper, the wood was very coarse and did not glue well, and they came with mediocre hardware. After all that, they were only average flyers.
I hope they have improved. I stopped buying them years ago........ |

I had the Mig from V-Mar. The covering was not that bad, but the wood was so bad that I had issues gluing parts.

RE: Vmar planes
I had a VMAR Bulldog RAF trainer, unfortunately it didnt survive its maide, but this was a badly setup motor, not the plane.. (it cut out on landing approach and hit an orange tree).
I was happy enough with the model for its price, the only REAL problem I had with that model was that the pushrods very VERY "sticky", there was a lot of friction in the system, I´m VERY sure that if I still had the model, i would've swapped out all the pushrods. The landing gear was very heavy as well... but honestly I was very happy with the plane (at its price) and many times have contemplated replacing it.... |
