Global Ultimate Bipe ARF ?
What are your experiences with the Global .40 Ultimate Bipe  ? How is quality, flying behaviour, any modifications needed ? What is your engine choice ? I am planning to put a Saito 72 on it. Will this be enough to give me a nice vertical ? Any input will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks |
Global Ultimate ARF A Great Flyer
I have one of these with a Magnum 91 4-cycle. The weight and bal. is right on and it flies great. And you can buy 'em for about $173 on-line. The Saito 72 should do fine they are very good engines and I have one on a H9 Stick. :D

Ultimate
I have a Global Ultimate with a YS .63.
Built it with everything stock except I replaced the cheap wheels and metric pushrods. I love it. It is easy taxi, take off, and land. It flies as gently as you wish, but will also "wind up" for you. My YS. 63 gives great vertical performance with a 13x6 prop. It will hang on the prop and even pull out slightly. You will want to put extra epoxy on the landing gear block...mine popped out on a fairly smooth landing. The Saito 72 should be perfect...however, I put two ounces of lead on the tail to help it be more aerobatic. I gaurantee KYBLUE's plane is slightly nose heavy, unless he put the servos in the back, etc. But even if so, this plane will fly nicely either way. Go for it! |
Global Ultimate Bipe ARF ?
I put a Saito 91 on mine. No weights and balance is perfect. One of the kids at the field also had one with a Saito 72, with a 13x6 it would hover ar 1/2 throttle. But you have to be carefull, not much prop clearance...
