ASP 1.08 looking for a home.

Hey everyone, I have an ASP 1.08 thats been laying around for awhile and is looking for an aircraft snuggle up to. Its owner wants a larger plane to bang around and do some of the 'big boy' moves, but is unsure if its enough power. Thinking about an Extra 260 around a 70" wingspan. I know this engine is nowhere near enough to fly a giant scale, but I want to get as close to it as possible.

The Funtana 125 has also been a consideration.

Check out the Seagull Edge 540 60 size. It's on the big side for a 60 size airplane - has a 68 inch wingspan. Reviews have been positive and I've seen it fly; looks like a good bird. I'm thinking of one for my Maggie .91XL for sport aerobatics. Check on Youtube for plenty of videos showing the plane in action.

Funny you mention that, I have a Seagull Edge 540 (40 size) with a K&B .61 that I finally flew last night. Its been around the block a few times and taken its share of beatings but it was given to me by a good friend. I'm quickly getting used to the plane but I'm already realizing that if I want to do anything with it, the Futaba 3004 servos are not going to cut it, at least in the ailerons. Already getting me in trouble with the high rates and slow servos. I tell ya though, that .61 moves it! Downwind high speed pass and she's bookin!

How are the landing gear on the larger Seagull Edges? This one has already had them ripped off at least 3 times. Glued and screwed to the firewall now so if they get ripped off, its taking half the plane with it.<br type="_moz" />
