RE: name this plane
Looks like an RC Ringmaster. I think there was a kit available for a while and, if I'm not mistaken, Ziroli had plans for one as well.

RE: name this plane
thanks for the help.
but I just found a copy of the ringmaster plans and it isn't that. any other help would be appriciated. |
RE: name this plane
A Ringmaster it isn't, but it could be an RC version of the Super Ringmaster if the planform is considered (and wing tips ignored). It would have been built from a kit most probably and lots of things happen to them.
It's fuselage looks like a Smoothie, another Control Liner that was popular enough to have been the subject of an RC version. But once again the square tips are a bit out of place. Fact is, they're out of place on that model no matter it's source. The horizontal tail and the tips don't go together at all. |

Sure looks like a Super Ringmaster C/L converted to R/C, with some changes in the rudder and wingtips. The grafics are from a Super Chipmunk.

RE: name this plane
years ago someone came out with a .40 size rc ringmaster kit but cannot remember who though. at our flying site some other flyers told us about it that the local HS just got one in. myself and a buddy went to check it out. the picture on the box was deceiving. we opened the kit and looked at the plans and the they had made it a high wing trainer type plane!. even the owner of the shop was surprised at this too. but they were not manufacutred very long because it turned out they were not good sellers
