Sky Link 50cc by World Models
Hi everyone,
I am interested in purchasing The Sky Link 50cc ARF by world Models. I have a 52cc taurus sitting on the bench that really wants to be in a plane! The problem that I am having is that there is virtually NO information on it because it is so new. I don't know if I like this one or the ASM Cessna better. The Sky Link looks to have a fuselage made of wood vs. the ASM cessna is made of an ASB kind of plastic. The Sky link doesn't look as scale but it looks like it flys lighter than the ASM on the only video that I have seen of it fly (probably due to the balsa light ply fuse). Here is what I do know due to a bit of research. Skylink: Flight surfaces already hinged and glued. This was shown on the instuction PDF. Has working nav lights. This was shown on the instuction PDF. 108" wingspan. 21 lbs dry. Considerably less $$$$$ than ASM cessna. What is the quality like on World Models planes? etc, etc. I am currently flying a CMPro cessna 182 140 size with a 24cc fuji in it. I love the plane but I want a bigger Cessna. Does anyone have this plane yet and have you flown it? I would like to know a bit more about this because I am the type of person that will not purchase something being the first - No guinea pig here LOL! If someone has this plane or considering getting one, let's share our likes, dislikes, ideas and maybe our build thread here - great fun huh? |

I have the sky raider machII and love it, couple of guys I fly with have the machI and mustang, they fly great, I''d like more info on the sky link myself, trying to save up money for the corsair now, only problem I've heard about is some of the covering might come loose. there's some reviews her on RCU on different WM planes

Thanks for your reply.
The covering coming loose is very irritating but it seems to happen to a few of the different arfs out there. My 12 year old son's Nextstar was the worst LOL! I read the instruction pdf on this plane again - Not the greatest but it does show alot of detail that this plane has. I think I would rather build this one vs the ASM cessna. Looks easier as long as the parts fit together well. |
