Default replacing a spektrum receiver on a t28 with a Futaba receiver

I'm a novice in the electric plane world. I've been flying nitro and gas for about ten years and have a Futaba 8 channel radio. I just bought a T-28 from my local hobby shop, and asked Horizon if I would have any trouble replacing the Spektrum receiver with my Futaba receiver. They said not a problem.

Here's my question; What powers the receiver? Like an idiot I didn't take a photo of the before, and can't figure out where the Spektrum got it's power from. There is no separate battery, as in my nitro planes, and no connections that will plug into the Spectrum or Futaba receiver from the battery. Do I have to install a separate battery and on/off switch or am I obviously missing something?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
