I have an Het rc Ki61 and really havent found any forums on any of the sites that would suggest the best power solution. I dont think that a outrunner can be used , because of the narrow ness of the engine compartment. I will use a 3s lipo . Does anyone have experience with this? thanks for the help.

You could use a 20MM motor, or best would be a short canned Speed 400 brushless motor on direct drivve. The Medusa 028-032-1900 might be the way to go. It would be fast! With a 6 x 4 prop you would get a thrust of 26 oz, a prop speed of 66mph, and max amps at 16. This would be a reasonable solution and would give you good thrust at a fast but reasonable speed. If you want to go faster switch to a 5.25 x 5.25 prop. This increases the prop speed to 91 mph, drops the thrust to 19 ounces, and the amps are 13.4. I like the 6 x 4 prop. So in a speed 400 sized motor look for a Kv of 1900-2200.
