Don't build it. There are lots of models that fly much better.

Dennis,
First off the flanged bearings are availible, but. I have been to the Spring Hill Autogyro meet named after Hal DeBolt.. As much as he tryed he was not very successful in flying.. He was a designer that always had new things going on in his head..
So listen to Mickey..I have all the PT series and they all fly good..I have most of Mickey's and they fly good also. And have flown his Mini Kellett.

If you want to be sucessful fly a proven Autogyro..

Good Luck

I believe he published two different plans. I built the one that was in Model Airplane News in the 70s. It flew extremely well, but had a large wing with ailerons. Control was aileron, rudder, elevator and throttle. Like most winged autogyros that were not direct control to the head, it could fly at a lower speed than that at which control could be maintained, so you could lose control if you weren't careful. I eventually took the wing off and flew it with direct control to the rotor in roll, but had to move the pylon forward.
