It has to be the big Dean's other than radio batts.

I'm not sure about spikes , but I consider about 50 to be MAX for a continuous current. They WILL warm a lot at 50 amps. I'm sure spikes of over 100 are ok, it is a "time" thing.

It would be interesting to have a chart of the most common plugs (Deans, XT60, bullets in 3,4,5,6 mm) etc and their max and spike amps different gage wire could handle.

I have seen comments of 100 amps for deans. 

Here is a quote from another thread.
The Dean's web page says that a Dean's Ultra has less resistance than an equivalent length of 12 gauge wire. That, using the table mforsyth linked, means that an Ultra is suitable for at least 41 Amps.

The 16,14 and 12 gauge wires you asked about are ranked at 22, 31, and 41 Amps respectively.

All rules of thumb of course but certainly a safe starting point.

The answers  differ significantly.
