I just purchased a used Triton2 charger. I have a couple of Triton Jr. units that I love, so the added "memory" feature in a brand/type that I already am familiar with looked inviting. So far, I am more than pleased with the used (new to me) unit and have been able to set up all the memories and battery defaults, setup menus, etc.
Here's my question to those of you that may have experience with these units. Is the "Safety Timer" a setting that needs to be set each and every time? I've gone through the "Setup Menu" instructions in the manual. If I change the "Temperature Scale" from F to C, I can turn the power to the unit off, turn it back on and the setting is still C. I can change the "Buzzer" sounds from Sound 1 to Sound 2, turn the unit off, and when it is turned back on the "Buzzer" sound is still Sound 2. But, if I change the "Safety Timer" from 90 minutes to . . . anything, when I turn the unit back on, it's back to 90 minutes.
Is this how it is meant to operate? I know that's how the Triton Jr. units work, so I'm thinking that possibly this is how the Triton2 units operate as well. If so, it sure would have been nice to have this mentioned in the manual.
Thanks for any assistance.
