Default Strange behaviour in charging a Life battery

I use a Life 2S 1600 mA battery to power both Rx and ignition in my 20cc gas powered sport model. The battery has two power leads and a balance tab which works quite well in my model. The thing that has me puzzled is that it will only accept charging though one particular power lead, and being fairly new to Life batteries with two power leads I would like to know if this is normal ?

Weird. If power comes out both leads power should go back in unless there's some sort of diode.

My question to you is why aren't you balance charging it?

There is no diode in any of the leads and I've never charged this battery without using the 'Balance Charge' charging mode.

I've been using LiFe battery packs for years from many different sources and have never had any with diodes built in. I would look carefully at the wire positions in the connectors . Possibly the polarity is reversed or a terminal may be damaged or backed out ?

I have inspected the battery very carefully and everything seems to be okay, and as I mentioned earlier it performs quite normally proving the exact same power from either lead.
