Default False economy

False economy

About a year ago I purchased NiCad batteries through the Internet. The ‘A’ cells were supposed to have been 1400 mah but were not labeled with manufacturer or capacity. In May last year a pack was assembled and the first three discharge cycles were 700, 1070, and 985 mah. This week another pack was assembled and the first two discharge cycles were 1107 and 1044 mah.

It is clear that I did not receive 1400 mah batteries. It is suspected that the batteries were also rejects that did not pass quality control.

Just be careful.

Default RE: False economy

I have a 1500 MA 3 Cell Kokam Li-PO which charges up to 13.25 volts
and has all the appearances of bing OK yet at full throttle when fully
Charge it shuts down on my Pheonix 25 w/ Hi Max 2025-4200. I put
a 1200 Ma eflite battery on the same system and it runs fine. Cut
off on the Pheobix25 ESC is set at 8.4 Volts. DO i have a bad battery??
