Default I4C, Duralite, or Hanger 9 Battery Tester

Which of the above would be the Best? The hanger 9 also has the Tach and lower current draw. Does the amount of current draw matter for the tester. I have 600 and 1000 mah Ni-cad batteries that I want to use this for. Opinions?

None of the above. Buy a good digital multimeter that you will find useful around the shop as well as a battery tester when used with a easy to make load box - see the article at the Battery Clinic for "How to".

Looked at your site often Red, and have a good digital voltmeter, but want something smaller to take out to the field.

And you can find similar ones on line for considerably less than $20

vs

DVT Digital Voltmeter/Tachometer [HAN111]

or
i4C V-Tach Airplane Version 30 to 20,000 RPM V-Tach A $89.95

or i4C Load Tester Testor $52.95

I have the I4C load tester and like it a lot. Sure, it's expensive and you can build your load tester (which I also have done). However, when it comes to size, it's hard to beat the I4C unit. I tried to source the LCD voltmeters that are used in the I4C and Duralite units. In single quantities those LCD voltmeters are $30 + shipping so for the few extra bucks it may be cheaper to buy the I4C rather than get the LCD unit and then build yourself.
