Default Lio-Ion Shelf Life

I have two DuraLite Lio-Ion batteries that I have had for at least two years. They have always been charged with a Duralite charger, just never used. How long is the shelf life of Lio-Ion ? I would like to use the batteries in a new plane.

Thanks.

Cycle them and see what you get for capacity. If it is still holding up you will kow the shelf life is longer than two years. I've got some LiPo that are still running strong that are over two years old.

Can you cycle the Duralites through the yellow "charge safe" plug?
