Default couple more q's

Besides checking capacity, is there any other reason to cycle your NiCd batteries? If there's another reason, (other than "memory") does this apply to NiMH batteries as well?

Rodney - I agree. I've read his site top to bottom. These are the questions I have left, mostly pertaining to NiMH. Thank you.

howardm4 - I'd been there before too. They have a ton of info in the 'about batteries' section. A very informative site. I noticed that they are proponents of 'burp' charging. Thanks for your help.
