Default Team Losi XXX-NT Sport Batt Set-UP

I just purchased a XXX-NT Sport and after trying to figure out a good set-up, battery wise for my car I am even more confused then when I first started. I know I need a 5c Hump style set-up for the receiver, and for the remote I will just use rechargeable AA's. Not too sure what to do about a roto starter. The other problem is what charger can I use? There are so many different kinds of batteries and chargers. I don’t know what to go with? I wanted to keep things affordable. I also wanted (if possible) a charger that could be universal so I don’t need 9 different chargers for my batteries.

Thank You for any help guys.

Good low cost charger:

For the batts, find something similar to what i've linked, and you're good to go. The charger isn't the best out there, but it's a great bargain, is easy to use, and will do what you need and more.

Depending on what the truck uses to connect the receiver battery, you may need a new switch (or solder on an appropriate connector for the hump pack.) I recommend a switch with a charging lead on it so you don't have to take the battery out of the truck to charge it.

You will also need the correct charging leads for the charger to hook up to the batteries and transmitter if your transmitter has a charging jack. If it doesn't you could probably use the receiver battery holder and charge them 4 at a time.

The best way to get the proper stuff you need is to take your truck to the lhs and get them to help you out. That way you can see if you're getting the proper connections for your truck.

Wow! Thanks alot man, this was really helpful. I used all this to make a basic shopping list so I have an idea of price's and now I will be heading over to the LHS with the list!

Thanks Again!
