Default Multiplex LN 5014 charger help needed

I just bought this charger, but I think I got a defective one. I have been trying to charge a 2100 mah NiMh 4 cell pack that has been previously discharged but the charger ends the charge cycle in 5 minutes with amp current set to 2 Amp. I also tryied to charge a Nicd pack and same thing happened. I tried another charger and it works fine with these packs.
The voltage that appears in the screen while charging seems very high to me. For a 4 cell pack this voltage goes to around 7,4 volts right about the time when the charge cycle ends. Is this normal? My other charger in a 4 cell pack only shows 5,7 volts at the end of charge.
What do you guys thinK?....

I'd E-Mail HiTec service department at [email protected] . Hitec owns Multiplex. They should be able to answer your question. Be sure to put all the information you can in the E-Mail more than what you've put in your post. Perhaps a step by step description of what you did with what the screens are telling you in response, along with the packs description.

John,
Thanks a lot, I e-mailed Hitec with a full description of the problem. Let´s see what they say.
