Hi Guys im putting together a park flyer for the grandson. The transmitter has a 9.6v 8 cell NiCad, the plane has a 7.2v NiMH. Question is there a seperate wall charger that will charge each one, two different chargers?? Is there one charger that will charge both outaa the unit. Want to keep it as simple as possible so he doesnt have lots of equipment.

You can charge either type battery with a wall wart. A slow charge is defined by C/10 ("C" = capacity of the pack) or one tenth the cells capacity for both NiCd or NiMh cells. The charge should last 14 to 16 hours. After the pack is charged don't leave it on the charger. NiMh packs especially don't like to be over charged. If you want to have your packs ready to fly. Buy an appliance timer and set it to turn on one hour out of 24. Plug you wall wart into that after the packs are fully charged.

NoBS batteries has a really nice slow charger for $30.00 CH-806 Six Port MultiCharger. Outputs are 50ma, 60ma x 2, 140ma, 180ma and 500ma. You can charge up to 6 packs at one time. http://www.hangtimes.com/chargers.html
