Default RE: A123Racing Battery Questions

If you have several cells in series that do not have a balanced charge, the cells that have the least charge will go to 0 volts first, and the remaining cells will discharge through them in the reverse direction.

That makes sense. But I'm only charging two cells in series. I checked the voltage on the blown cell pack and it's at 5.5. So it seems to be holding the previous charge. Does anyone think it's unsafe to try and charge it?

PLEASE NOTE!!!! that Hobby City LiFePO4 cells are not A123Racing cells. They do not utilize our patented Nanophosphate technology and therefore have very different performance characteristics.

Make sure you know what you are purchasing. People have purchased cells similar (if not the same) and found when they received them that they were rated for a 2C (not 20C) discharge.

Power . Safety . Life
