Sounds like you have a bad setup. Probably overgeared or something binding in your driveline. Try a smaller pinion gear.
It would help if you gave some setup data and what vehicle are you talking about.

Well with th stock 20T gearing is what 20:87? When I had a 15 Turn double wind in mine I geared it 16:87. Sounds to me like you need to go much smaller on the pinion.

YOU ARE WAY OVER GEARED. to properly gear a 10 turn in a rusty you would need a 8 tooth pinion. A 48 pitch 8 tooth pinion does not exist so you can not properly gear a 10 turn in a rustler. Try a 15 turn motor instead and use a 13 tooth pinion. The way to properly gear a rusty is go two teeth under the turns of the motor. With gearing that high the motor is probably junk buy now[&o].

The lower quality battery is showing problem with the high current draw. The 3300's can get away with it. A better battery is an answer. If it is geared too high then that is another problem.

Yes you are overgeared. Do some research on traxxas.com.
