Anyone have any idea on the resale value of an Alpha 4 charger these days?

There weren't any that I could find. That could mean one of two things. 1) they are worthless or 2)rare as hens teeth and could bring a goodly sum. I have two, maybe I should post one and get a reading.

The last one I saw for sale, was in the Airplane section under batteries and chargers a couple of weeks ago. If I remember right the guy was asking $150.00 for the Alpha 4. This seems reasonable.

I searched on EBay and on here, and I couldn't find anything on EBay, or anything recent on here. I have at least one that I should probably sell since I am totally electric powered these days. But the Alpha's still make GREAT chargers for transmitters, servo programmers, camera batteries, and cordless mouse and keyboard batteries. Small flashlights, etc. And probably some other applications where nickel based batts are still pretty prevalent. Most of folks I know personally still use nickel for their receivers.

Not anymore. While I love mine, its old and limited to slow charging and cycling. It is my least used charger. For what it can do, not worth the $400 they were going for last year.

IMO, the Alpha Four is old technology running on a mystical reputation. Still workable, but not as good as it's supposed to be.

Like they say, "one day you're Cock of the Walk, next day, a Feather Duster"...

Again, "MHO".

Thanks Red!

And if a 1 Amp charge isn't enough Click here http://www.hughesrc.com/harness.html to find out how to charge large batteries at up to 4 Amps!
