Default fire Hazards

There are many posts regarding fire instances dealing with Li Po batteries, scary! I would like to know if there have also been instances of fire resulting from the use of other battery types (Ni Cds, Ni Mh) ?

any batteries are a hazard if you abuse them. I have yet to see a lipo catch on fire from normal use. Most youtube videos are done on purpose, that's why they are video taping it.

Look at the exploding li-ion battery problem sony had. It can happen with any battery if they are poorly manufactured or abused.
