Default Lipo won't charge fully

I have a older Max Amps 5000mah 7.4 2 cell lipo here. The cells are at 4.16 and 4.18, I am using a thunder power lipo charger set to 100% charge but I can only get 1600mah to 1700mah into it. I always use the balance leads when I charge the battery. Nothing I do seems to make it charge fully. Is this battery just getting old and worn out or is my charger not working properly?

How are you measuring that voltage? Have you checked the accuracy of the measuring device. Your values are pretty close to the 4.2 volts expected, may be within the error tolerance of your measuring device.

Do you have any idea how much power you took out?
You can only put back in what was used.
If you are really concerned then you may need to cycle the battery
where you can measure the discharge and charge.
Good Luck,

I am using a Thunder Power TP-610C balancer and charger. It gives me a voltage readout for each cell. I am not sure how much voltage I took out but the truck only runs for about 5 minutes on a charge. I have a feeling the battery is just old but I am not sure if this is a symptom of a old lipo... I bought it used 2 years ago and it used to take a charge just fine.
