Default Best Multiple LiPo Charger?

Looking at the Bantam E-station dual batt charger, but before pulling the trigger, I want to see if there are any better options.

I need to be able to charge from 2 cell to at least 8 cell lipos. 10 cell capability would be preferable.

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks,
robert

There's quite a few around now, but the only high-power charger that has gained my confidence enough for me to actually spend the money is the iCharger 208b which will handle up to 8s balanced and even 10s (but not balanced).

The 1010b+ is less power, but handles balancing of 10s if need be.

I've become so impressed with my 208b that I will probably get a couple more. At 20 amps of power for charging, it out-powers most (if not all) of the Bantams.

Thanks.

I've looked at those, but am looking for a multiple at one time battery charger. Am I limiting myself too much by this requirement?

Right now, between buggies, trucks, planes and helis, I/we have 16 lipos, and 11 receiver batteries. In an average 3 hour r/c outing, we'll burn through 10-12 lipos, and charging them later, with our current 4 chargers (2 cheapo wall chargers, a turnigy balance charger, and a duratrax ICE) is cumbersome, at best.

I have been planning on buying 2 dual battery (charge 2 batts at one time) high-current (relatively high, at least) battery chargers.

My workbench is already kinda crowded. About 8 feet x 3 feet, with airplane building sharing space with car/buggy repair, tuning, and helis. Along the back wall of the workbench are my spare parts, dremel and hand tools, batteries and chargers, with charge leads going under the workbench to an ammo box for charging... simply looking to cut down a bit on that clutter, while upgrading and consolidating my chargers at the same time.

I think that the Bantam only adds one more port for a total of two batts at a time, and I don't think that's such a great "multiple battery" improvement.

There are two relatively new chargers that many people report that they like quite a bit and will charge 4 batteries independently.
They are:
1. http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=10327
and:
2. http://www.unitedhobbies.com/hobbyci...dProduct=11170

I have the first one, the "Quattro", and although I'm getting some unexpected results using it to charge Nicad and Nimh batteries, everyone else seems to like how it charges and balances all the other newer technology batteries. As far as my unexpected results with Nicad and Nimh batteries, all I mean is that it appears to report different discharge capacities on batteries from when those same batteries are discharged on other chargers. I still think it's a good charger, and what I'm finding is that I may be the one causing those unexpected results because so many parameters can be set by the user than I may not be using the same parameters exactly that other chargers use (that are hardwired into those chargers and cannot be changed by the user.)

I have no experience with the second one so you can do your own research.

Note that neither is a terribly "powerful" charger (five and six amps per port respectively), certainly nothing in the class of the iChargers (at 20 amps and up to 30 amps for a new one), but either should make a great overnight charger. Being as they both use 12v input, you can use them at the field off of a lead-acid 12v battery as well, and since you can keep 4 batteries charging at the same time, either of those chargers would still probably work well for charging between flights as well.

Wow. THanks!

Those aren't the highest rate chargers in the world, but for me, multi-pack charging is much mroe important than absolute charge rates.

Those both look like they'd be great options, and at $100 for the turnigy, I may just buy 2 of them, so we can charge 8 packs at a time.

Actually, I'm thinking I'll buy 1, try it for a little while, and if I like it, then I'll buy 2 more so we can charge more than enough batts for an outing all at once.

The twin peak is a good one. Charges my dual 3500 lipos in 15 min or less.

Take a look at this one also. If not the icharger 208B is excellent.
