I bought one of these over the weekend. Fantastic piece of kit.

Its a battery information system and its mainly for Lithium type packs.

It will give you overall voltage ANDCAPACITYremaining under loaded conditions (so you'll never see 100% on the display)
It will also give you variance of voltage between the cell with highest voltage and lowest voltage as well as provide individual cell information for up to 7s packs (all chemistries)

Does this meter REALLY display voltage AND capacity under load? I have not found documentation that indicates this is true.

The distributor informed me the NiXX voltage is under loaded conditions. Save from taking it apart I can't verify that claim.

I just received this from the US distributor. The new unit will also balance cells in Lipo's.

I just picked up the new version Futaba checker the BR-3000 it checks life and lipo now but does not have the adjustable load for nimh's and nicad's like the previous version.

Same idea as yours I think, nice to have the capacity "fuel gauge".

Thanks for confirming. The new version balances cells in a pack? How do I recognise the new version from the old?
