Any new battery solutions out there?

I'm just wondering if there are some 6-7.4volt batteries out there that may have not made it into the rc arena?

Nothing new that I know off but it would be hard to beat the current A123s. Just my opinion.

Well the new HV servos that have insane torque require more than the A123s.

Any servo and battery configuration is possible,,, just have to figure out what it is that you want out of your airborne gear :D

Could you elaborate? It has been my impression that A123 batteries hold voltage very well under heavy load.

well a servo that produces a certain torque at 7.4 volt range would not produce the same voltage at 6.6

I think the A123's are probably the best "latest" battery to come to market for the RC hobby. I know several guys running only A123's in all sorts of RC aircraft and are having lots of sucess. I use them also and they work great!
