What batteries you running? I believe what you are experiencing is called cogging. Does it stop doing once it gets up to speed? Is it a stock esc/motor or an upgraded one for the truck?

Yes, it does stop at higher speeds. I'd just like to drive it around at half speed without it doing that. The thing is too fast most the time at full speed.

I just bought some new ones but havent tried them yet, waiting on a new charger to arrive.

I do not think this is a cogging issue. I would try a new battery and see if this solves your problem. If trading out the batteries does not work, then the ESC is my next guess regarding your problem. I would give your truck a good go over, to make sure all things are good, such as wiring, electrical connections, motor mounts, gears are tight stuff like that. Not that a loose gear is going to cause your current problem but good to eliminate any obvious stuff going on.

You might want to give us more info too, how old is your truck, how long has this problem been going on? Have you made any changes to your truck recently? Basically, what changed when this problem started?

It is your battery. You stated in your video you ran it around for about 5 min then it started and continues to get worse the more the battery gets lower. That 2000Mah nimh battery can't provide enough amps or for very long for your BL system. I have some nimh 3300 mah batteries that does the same thing with my BL systems the lower the voltage gets on them. They're just cheap batteries. They work fine for brushed motors but not with my BL stuff. Better batteries usually stop the slow driving cogging issue.

Whats your newer batteries? Try to get 4000mah+ in a nimh battery or go lipo(if possible) 3300mah+ with atleast a 25c

I agree with it being the battery's fault. The voltage is likely sagging under load and is getting too low to move the truck right. Until you get a new battery, make sure you have any LVC setting shut off.

But it didn't come with the Power adapter, so I can't plug it in. Know where I can get a power adapter for that charger ?

Am I missing something here? All of the chargers on Hooby king say: "Note: Power supply not included."

Is it not supposed to come with a Wall plug? There were no instructions, how do you use this thing?

Yeah, most chargers require a 12v DC power supply. They do this so people can run them off their 12v car battery when at the field. So, if you want to use it at home, you have to come up with a 12v solution. The charger you got is only 50w, so you only need a supply that will deliver around 6A @ 12v. Even then, 6A is a bit much to ask for a normal wall-wart power supply. Either convert a PC power supply, or get a retail one.

My IMAX b5 charges at 5amps and came with ac adapter. Can also be dc powered. It's 3yrs old now so could prob be had for $40 new.
